Are you aware of the latest clean power project opportunities in Asia?
While developed countries remain focused on slowing demand and cutting costs, an insatiable hunger for energy within the emerging markets now appears to be the surprising driving force behind renewable energy investment. In addition, the fall in equipment costs and growing appetite for clean technology has resulted in increased policy support measures and increased investment in cleaner fossil power projects.
During the recent National Meeting of the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society (METI), the Director General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation, Dr. Kardaya Warnika stated that “starting by now and to the future, renewable energy will be the champion in fulfilling domestic energy needs”. Dr Warnika will present his view at Clean Power Asia in Bali this 14-16 May 2012 together with the following regional government officials, regulators and utility industry stakeholders..
| Dr Songpope Polachan Director General, Department of Mineral Fuels Ministry of Energy Thailand |
|
| Datuk Loo Took Gee Secretary General Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia |
|
| Nur Pamudji President Director PT PLN (Persero) Indonesia |
|
| Dato' Ir. Azman Bin Mohd COO Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Malaysia |
"A class act all the way. Two weeks later and I am still writing messages to people that I came into contact with about specific opportunities and potential collaboration. And regardless what anyone says, that’s why we go to conferences. Sign me up for the next one please. "

" If you can only attend one conference on Clean Power this is it! ... All perspectives were included so that someone keen to enter into renewables could hear first hand from the regulators just what is needed to develop a successful project. A great event!"
Matthew Baird, Chair, Environment and Planning Law Group, Law Council of Australia, Australia
"The inaugural conference provided a good opportunity for policy makers and investors from across the region to exchange views on clean energy development. Presentations were comprehensive and interesting, and discussion was of a high quality. Well done."
